Some West Ham United fans were lauding Sebastien Haller after the centre-forward scored in our 3-1 win over Southampton last Saturday.
The £40.5million-rated former Eintracht Frankfurt man had been struggling for goals prior to our victory and had notched up just six strikes in 27 games. However, he enjoyed a good return to form against the Saints and won the most fouls, played the joint-second most key passes and had the second-most shots on goal, as per WhoScored.
How many goals will Sebastien Haller score for West Ham United this season?
More than 15
Less than 15
Haller was singled out for praise by former Hammers striker Ian Wright, who claimed the frontman looked a lot better when he’s using physicality. He said on BBC’s MOTD 2, via quotes by Football.London: “…supporting [Sebastien] Haller, who looked a lot better using his physical presence to make things happen”.
West Ham will be looking to continue their good form as tricky fixtures against Arsenal, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea come up in the next four games.
Supporters were full of compliments for the record signing as they took to Twitter to react to his performance:
Put some respect on his name

Even though everything about Haller’s work here was brilliant, I’m pleased no foul was given on the keeper. Don’t get me wrong. It was never a foul anyway but we’ve seen them given. This is brilliant old fashioned centre forward play. https://t.co/rKUCanbom5
