Jordan Hugill faces an uncertain future at West Ham

|

Jordan Hugill faces a very uncertain future, with his time at West Ham looking to come to an end and no clubs having made an offer for him, according to football.london.

The 27-year-old striker spent the last season on loan at Middlesbrough, starting 20 games and coming on 17 times, scoring six times and assisting twice, though this seemingly hasn’t tempted the club into signing him again.

ExWHUEmployee has reported that the former Preston North End forward is among the players Manuel Pellegrini wants to sell in order to raise funds for his squad overhaul.

While West Ham were willing to accept a loan offer last summer, the fact that they want a fee indicates they won’t do so again this time around, though without a club making an offer it is difficult to see what Hugill’s situation will be for the 2019/20 season.

Both the club and player will be hoping that a club will come in for him soon, but West Ham would likely need to take a hit on the £9million they paid for him in January 2018 if a sale is to happen.

Hugill was a figure filled with excitement and joy when he signed for West Ham as was captured by his announcement video, though his time at London Stadium has led to disappointment and uncertainty.
