Many West Ham supporters have been reacting on social media, after the club announced that we have entered a partnership with the fan engagement platform Socios.com.
The club intends to work with the blockchain-based engagement platform to offer supporters the chance to influence decisions in East London, such as player appearances to the official Man of the Match vote. The London Stadium faithful will also be able to earn rewards and compete for once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
We are the first English side to form such a partnership with Socios.com, and have joined European elite outfits like Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
Fans wishing to vote on matters relating to the club will have to purchase the ability to vote, however, and this is done by buying, earning or hunting Fan Tokens. The West Ham United Fan Token, meanwhile, will be launched in time for the 2019/20 season, and will be available for purchase directly via the Socios.com app.
How much the Token costs, though, will change depending on how well the team is performing and the market demand.
When the club shared that we have entered a partnership with Socios.com, this is what these fans made of the news…
We are gonna win the league

Now that we’re linked with PSG and Juventus, can we do player swap deals? I’ll swap Perez for Mbappe and Edmilson Fernandes for Dybala pls

“With more than 40 million supporters worldwide and a global, digital fan base that exceeds five million across social media”
Interesting numbers. How did you come up with 40 million?

They took the actual number and put some extra 0’s on the end. It’s ok it’s what our directors do ????

So the more tokens I buy, the more influence I have? What about one fan, one vote? And I don’t need it to be “more simpler” – just more simple or simpler. Thanks.

Shame there’s no wifi or data signal inside the stadium to be able to use it , 3 years on , and still waiting to be able to use a phone in there has anyone thought about that

Sounds interesting, but they need to sort out the WiFi before offering us digital platforms. Like buying a car with no fuel…
