Not many players are able to come to the Premier League and immediately make a significant impact. It takes a lot of work to make it in Europe’s most competitive league, but some are just naturally suited to the division.
That’s certainly been the case for West Ham ace Felipe Anderson. The winger moved to London from Italy last summer, and though he came with a significant fee (£34.2 million according to Transfer Markt), most would have expected an adjustment period.
However, in reality, he’s required no such time. To the contrary, he has hit the ground running in England, and he’s now already one of West Ham’s best players. Sure, he’s slowed down a bit in recent weeks, but as far as first seasons go, he’s been a real hit.

He’s clearly been impressed by his form, too, with the winger discussing his first season with the official West Ham website. He said: “I had very good seasons in Lazio but this is a very difficult league and the team had a difficult situation because it had a lot of new players, so that has made it one of my best seasons in Europe.”
Anderson is a very popular member of the squad with fans already, and so it’s n0 real surprise to see that a lot of fans agree with what he’s had to say. They’re loving him, as you can see below:
So should everyone but yer da will say he doesn’t run far enough

10 goals, 5 assists in all comps for your 1st season in a difficult league and new country? I’m very happy with how it’s gone. And it’s only going to get better over the next few seasons. @F_Andersoon

In reality he’s blown hot and cold. Some games he’s been anonymous but in others has been excellent. A good first season and i think he’ll have a better second season as he’s fully adjusted to the premier league now. Very talented, just needs to add consistency.

Im more than happy with him. Think were getting what we paid for. 1st season always hard. Should b better next season. Just one thing. Why has his form dipped since the arnie saga ?? He was getting better just before xmas but progress slowed since

He’s done ok in his first season, if he had better movement from his fellow midfielders and strikers he’d improve even more, but of course that means investing more than a budget of £30m in the summer window.
