“He’s embodying their views”: Controversial pundit weighs in on Mark Noble Twitter debate

|

On Friday night, Mark Noble caused a bit of a storm on social media when he sent out this message following the sale of Grady Diangana to West Bromwich Albion.

It’s all well and good the fans having their views on the matter, that’s kind of what we’re there for. However, when a player at the club comes out and says something about it, that’s a whole different kettle of fish, and when it’s the captain, then you’re taking it to a whole new level.

Never someone to shy away from a talking point, former Crystal Palace boss Simon Jordan weighed in on the matter on talkSPORT. And his view on the matter seemed to be that Noble was right in his point of view, but the way he went about expressing it perhaps could have been a little bit better, and ideally out of ‘the public eye’.

Was Mark Noble right to take his views public?

Yes

No

And to some extent, I agree with Jordan.

I think that there is a time and a place for these sort of debates to be had, and something as sensitive as this could and should have been held in private. Taking it public just shows how dis-jointed things are at the club, and even if they are behind the scenes, it should be up to those involved to at least give a positive outlook rather than confirming it.

What about you? Were you OK with Noble taking the issue and making it public like this? Or do you think it should have been kept behind closed doors?
