West Ham Rambles shared a tweet from Read West Ham which stated: ‘West Ham eyeing up January move for Giroud.’ They picked up on the link from Football Insider, who claimed the Hammers were interested in signing him last week.
The 33-year-old has played just 121 minutes for Chelsea this season, including just one start. The Frenchman is also averaging just 0.3 shots per game and currently has a pretty terrible WhoScored average rating of 6.14/10, although that is to be expected as he can’t get many minutes for Frank Lampard’s side.
The one plus side to Giroud is his experience; the 33-year-old has scored a total of 142 goals throughout his whole career. He’s also played a whopping 24080 minutes of club and international football.
Excellent. Then we could have two players in the box not to cross to. https://t.co/yh23OT1q7i

Many fans are questioning this rumoured signing and so are we. Considering we already have a better version of Giroud in Sebastien Haller, and the system’s that Pellegrini has been playing do not appear to have suited the Frenchman so far, which makes the links to the experienced forward all the more peculiar.
One fan reacted to a retirement home comment by saying: “Come on in and pull up a pew – and we’ll give you 70k a week for your hardship!” which we feel would sum up this transfer should it happen, as it’s very doubtful that the Chelsea man would play that many matches. Perhaps the wages could be better spent in other areas of the pitch, rather than wasting large amounts each week on a player that might become rather useless for us at the London Stadium.

Why when we play 1 up top
— Andy (@parish_andy) November 6, 2019
Why ? We wont play 2 up front absolutely pointless when we have one of the worst defences in the league

Don’t be silly, we would start Haller then take him off after he’s got no service and bring on Giroud to do exactly the same because pelle hasn’t got a Scoobie
