The ramifications, relating to what was another bad day for the Hammers continue to grace the social media network.
It’s never nice to see somebody in a claret and blue shirt criticised by their own support and we hope it isn’t a sign of things to come.
However, after the last-gasp stoppage time defeat to newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers, it appears that the Hammers support have taken great delight in pointing the finger at our defender, Aaron Cresswell.
After the game, Cresswell tried to placate the Hammers support with the following post:

However, it wasn’t received in the manner in which the defender hoped with social media littered with comments that deride the defenders performance against Wolves and here are a few to illustrate the point:
The term defender has been lost in translation somewhere. If you ain’t got the lungs/legs to get back after a wasteful run or cross then just stay put and defend. Pressing is a part of defending, stopping crosses are a part of defending, tackling is a part of defending ????????????⚒

Yepp him Masuaku and Antonio should never play again
— Jay (@JayCorb12568283) September 3, 2018
A couple of harsh comments there, but they continue as the Hammers support vent their spleen:
How about just passing the ball to a West Ham player? Just a thought. ????⚒

Perhaps he can learn to defend.

You need to do things right as well and not just hoof the ball fwd.
Pass on the floor

He was particularly woeful on Saturday

Send him back to Ipswich, what a waste of a player

Not sure sending him back to Suffolk is a viable option, but we have to ask what has happened to the player who, not long ago, was on the verge of becoming an England international?
Was it all down to Cresswell on Saturday or is he just unlucky to be the one the finger of suspicion is being pointed at?
