Playing up front for West Ham United, at the moment, must be a frustrating time, with chances created being at a premium.
With the side having suffered four straight defeats, in the opening four games of the 2018 / 2019 season, there are some hard questions that need to be addressed during the first international break of the season.
In what has been a very poor start to the season, we’ve already seen two areas of the side lambasted, the defence and the midfield.
However, it now seems that the one player who has the ability to drag us out of this mire, Marko Arnautovic, is also being criticised.
Delving into the world of social media, we find that Arnautovic is the latest to state the obvious when it comes to turning our season around:
“Everyone believes in each other but today was unacceptable. We need to pick up as soon as possible.”https://t.co/TRrYaMUzbb

However, as you’d expect, the response has sparked quite a reaction from a Hammers support that are hugely disappointed at the way, what should have been a decent season, has started, with many comments criticising Marko for his individual performance, on Saturday:
You need to start getting on your toes all of you and stop strolling round. Move into space off the ball, be alive. Just a joke how unfit and casual everyone is. It's a game where you are constantly alert and thinking ahead from kick off to the final whistle.

Stop talking & start playing like it matters , you are very lucky to play professionally, but lucky to play for our club, with loyal supporters like ours !
Fed up with talk ….— pagey (@PageInfo) September 2, 2018
So what’s with all these stupid flicks and arguing and lack of movement and walking pace when we needed 3 points ?

Doesn't help when the captain doesn't make the effort to get back from offside decisions, spends time whining at the ref when we're trying to break and enjoys standing still and pointing at other players.

Here at Vital West Ham, we also uncovered some posts that suggest, as the captain of the side, Arnautovic should have done more to inspire the side, the following being a typical illustration:
Tell these lazy players to start closing down the opposition, start running and want to win rather than expect to win. They need to come down to earth with a thud and realise they are not as good as they think they are, they need to try much harder

With there being a long wait before our next Premier League fixture, a trip to Goodison Park, to take on Everton, the time is approaching whereby some difficult decisions need to be made, but one thing is certain things are not going to get better if the support doesn’t get 100% behind the team!
