Lots of West Ham United fans salivated over Michail Antonio’s performance following his side’s 4-0 victory against Norwich City on Saturday.

The Hammers forgot what the word ‘mercy’ meant at Carrow Road as they showed no sympathy towards the Canaries, who became the first team in the Premier League to be relegated during the 2019/20 campaign.

Antonio scored all four goals and was in scintillating form, which moved the Hammers six points away from the relegation zone before the other games were played.

Should Michail Antonio be crowned Hammer of the Year?

Yes

No

It’s easy to see why the London Stadium faithful were delighted with his performance. Per Sofascore, Antonio managed to win 12 duels, directed six shots on target, completed five successful dribbles which gave him a perfect match rating of 10.

Unsurprisingly, supporters drooled over his outing in Norfolk and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he deserves to be crown the ‘Hammer of the Year’ while others described him as a “God” and a “king”.
