Plenty of West Ham United fans were not happy after the club was linked with moves for Manchester United duo Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones, according to reports.
According to TeamTalk, the Red Devils are desperate to part ways with both long-serving players with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer willing to let the 27-year-old and 28-year-old leave Old Trafford.
The report adds that the Hammers are taking a keen interest in the couple as he looks to bolster both his defence and midfield for next season. Although survival in the Premier League will play a key part in regards to whether these deals could be pulled off.
Should West Ham sign Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones?
Yes
No
David Moyes, who used to be in the hot seat at Manchester United, previously had Jones and Lingard in his squad and was dismissed inside his first season in charge having failed to qualify for the Champions League during the 2013/14 campaign.
With this in mind, supporters were not impressed and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan pleaded for Moyes not to do it, while another described the Red Devils’ pair as “second rate”.
