Many West Ham United fans heaped praise on midfielder Michail Antonio following his side’s 3-2 victory against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
The 30-year-old found the net, along with goals from Tomas Soucek and a late winner from Andriy Yarmolenko which cancelled out Willian’s brace either side of half-time.
ExWHUEmployee reserved special praise for two players, one of which was Declan Rice and the other was Michail Antonio, who netted the second during what was a crucial victory in their battle to avoid the drop.

No
During the 90 minutes, the Englishman managed to win eight duels, had two shots on target, completed two key passes and accumulated a pass success rate of 75%, as per Sofascore.
As a result, supporters were highly complementary towards Antonio and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he “works his socks off”, while others labelled him as the club’s most valuable player and “unreal”.
Think Antonio is beginning to understand what he needs to do up top. That winning goal he was awesome. Also don’t miss what a great contribution Soucek makes in that midfield. He is a must signing for next season and should be prioritising it now.

Antonio was unreal. Didn’t stop running and deserved a goal and assist.

I thought Antonio’s hold up play and bringing others into the game was top draw tonight. He maybe just lacks that finesse with his finishing but makes up for it in work rate and desire ⚒⚒⚒

Absolutely! Antonio worked as hard in this game as he did in the previous matches. He works his socks off! Declan Rice was a true captain out there tonight. Did us proud!

Antonio is a Saint honestly, Soucek brings so much more to the team over Noble and Bowen had that bit of quality when needed then finally the goal from Yarmo was class. Would 100% keep Yarmo over Felipe and Lanzini
