When Jack Wilshere signed for West Ham, it’s fair to say that there was a lot of excitement at the London Stadium. Having moved from Arsenal, Wilshere was a player with a rich pedigree and a lot of experience, and a move to a club like West Ham was a bit of a coup for the Hammers.
However, it’s fair to say that his first season in England has not gone to plan. He’s made just 4 Premier League starts this season, which is well below par for a player of his quality.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, that’s come as a result of injury problems. The Englishman’s gone back to his old self this term, with fitness issues making this season a bit of a write-off for him – and not for the first time in his career.
This week, though, Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that the Englishman is preparing for a comeback. He’s edging closer to fitness, which is obviously good news for West Ham.
However, at this point, it appears as though fans have given up. Indeed, lots of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to slam Wilshere – with many calling for him to be sold…
