West Ham came from behind to beat Huddersfield and the weekend, and the performance not only brought the best and worst from the players but also the fanbase.
That’s a point stressed by Irons fans account WestHamMatters, who has suggested since the game that there is a large number in the London Stadium faithful who hope that we lose games just so they can moan about the result.
Absolutely certain there’s a bignumber of WH “fans” that morbidly want us to lose so they can moan.
We’re 2 pts off 7th, have most points in league from losing positions & were safe with 12 games to go for first time in years!

Those showing displeasure at being behind on Saturday would have been well within their rights to, but, as WestHamMatters pointed out, we are still within touching distance of seventh place – albeit having played a game more and now relying solely on Manchester City in the FA Cup – so European football next season is not yet ruled out.
Compare that to where we found ourselves this time last year – just a point outside the relegation zone with a minus 21 goal difference – and the difference Manuel Pellegrini and the summer arrivals have brought to Stratford should be hailed even if we struggled against Huddersfield.
That’s a message echoed emphatically by the Irons supporters who responded to WestHamMatters’ startling accusation…
Consistency definitely an issue for us, and knowing how close we’ve been makes it harder. But going into this season I think general consensus was top 10 finish was a good start for MP, and we’re on track for that now. Need to keep perspective.

Have to agree mate – short term memory disorder. The club was at its best under greenwood and llyal everything since had been the West Ham way – the odd bubble but all to often they fade and die

I know what you’re saying. I’ve seen some weird stuff on here about celebrating the win.
All we need to do is cut out those games where we don’t put in any effort. Happy to lose if we play with heart and passion.
Also need to learn how to defend corners.— Kris Johnson (@kjohno10) March 18, 2019
Nothing frustrates me more than West Ham. As someone else said we are Bipolar Utd. I will moan, but I want is to win everything, the pre game coin toss included.

You are right but going behind in 2 out of 3 games is also a big issue and perhaps suggests a confidence problem

We’re a side who have been inconsistent and riddled with injury
Lanzini
Reid
Balbuena
Wiltshire
Etc etc.
Sitting top half of table and safe from relegation battle.
Where is the problem.
Looking forward to next season after the dead wood is cleared out. ⚒— Jay Rudd (Hammer)????????????????✌ (@JayRudd4) March 18, 2019
Bang on! There has been improvement this year (albeit small at times) but never been in danger of relegation there is actual football being played & with all the injuries we have had to be 2 points off 7th is a good year. Start of season most would have been happy with 10th

Yup. We’re a work in progress for sure. Some intelligent investment in the summer will see us kick on. Two things worry me though. 1. The amount of saves Fabianski has to make. 2. The number of goals we score from open play.

Finally some sense!

West Ham fans are notorious moaners. Always have been.
