West Ham fans are likely still trying to wrap their heads around the Hammers’ loss to Cardiff City on Saturday. It came a little bit out of the blue, given our progress, but disappointment like that has just become part and parcel of being a Hammer.
We can only hope that things will improve in our next game against Huddersfield.
Unfortunately, though, ahead of the tie, West Ham have done little to improve the mood of the London Stadium faithful, at least judging by the responses to the club’s latest update.
We’re building something special, but we can’t do it without you.

Unsurprisingly, this has elicited quite the reaction from fans online, and they’re generally split into a few camps. Some are angry about the price, others are angry about the decision to announce this so soon after such a poor loss, whilst others are fuming about the deadline coming before the transfer window starts; meaning that they won’t get to see which players are signed before making such a big financial commitment.
The one thing that is clear, though, is that fan furore is prominent. See below:
@ExWHUemployee @DaveWalkerWHU @davidgold how can you justify a £150 increase on two under 16 season tickets. If I don’t renew I’ll be the world’s worst dad and if I do the Mrs will kick off as money is tight. Always one step forward and two back with our club

Can’t do it without you so we slap a price increase in there and you have to pay it within 2 months and less than a week after the season ends

Don’t you mean “we can’t do it without you and the price increases”?

Why are the renewal deadlines before this season ends. Takes the mick that
— Tez (@TezzyWHU) March 12, 2019
10% increase from last year and the “founder” tickets are the same as brand new season ticket holders. I understand we spent 100 mil last summer but getting us to repay it is not on! What happened to loyalty?

Misjudged this one massively West Ham. We were promised cheaper tickets and to compete for trophies…we have neither.

Does the transfer window open after the deadline by any chance?
— Steve Milchard (@stevemilchard) March 12, 2019
10% increases? How can that possibly be justifiable?
— Simon Johnson (@sejohnson13) March 12, 2019
10% increase is a liberty

Thoughts?
