“Without a shadow of a doubt” – Pundit predicts clubs will swoop for West Ham’s 36-goal ace

Former Premier League defender Danny Mills believes “plenty of clubs” will be interested in West Ham United forward Michail Antonio.

The 30-year-old has been in scintillating form since the Premier League restarted last month and bagged four goals in what was his first career hat-trick as his side thrashed Norwich City 4-0 on Saturday.

With Antonio now into the last year of his contract at the London Stadium, discussions, at this stage, have yet to take place regarding an extended stay in East London, with The Athletic revealed that Wolves have been closely monitoring his progress.

Speaking to Football Insider, Mills raved about Antonio and believes that he would be a crucial asset in any Premier League squad.

Could Michail Antonio be tempted by a move away from West Ham?

Yes

No

“I am sure there are plenty of clubs interested, without a shadow of a doubt,” he said. “He has pace, power and lots of ability. He can score a goal and his work rate is exceptional.

“He is a magnificent all-round player who will give you everything week in, week out no matter where he plays. Why would you not want a player of that ilk in your squad?”

Moyes did not react too much when he was asked the question regarding his future, stating that would be something that they would look at.

It is understandable why Mills would have this stance on the player, which makes it all the more important that West Ham tie-down Antonio for the near future.

If the Hammers manage to avoid relegation this season, Antonio and his goals could be key in getting David Moyes’ side back into the top 10.
