Manuel Pellegrini did not enjoy an easy time at West Ham during the first few months of the Premier League season, where his side struggled to find consistency.
However, the Hammers seem to have turned a corner at the start of December by boasting three consecutive victories after seeing off Newcastle United, Cardiff City and Crystal Palace – scoring nine goals in the process.
That sequence of results has sent the east London side surging up the Premier League standings and presents a solid platform to build upon over the course of the busy festive season, which could make or break the Hammers’ campaign.
Pellegrini has certainly started to reap the rewards from a hectic spending spree in the summer, where he splashed over £100m on new additions, with the likes of Felipe Anderson, Issa Diop and Lukasz Fabianski becoming key assets.
