West Ham look to have finally found stability under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini after securing three consecutive Premier League victories.
The Hammers started their run away from home against Newcastle United before seeing off both Cardiff City and Crystal Palace at the London Stadium, with a sequence of results that sent the club surging up the Premier League standings.
Pellegrini is finally starting to reap the rewards from his £100m spending spree in the summer but there is still work to be done in the market, although not all the deals completed in January will be the arrival of new faces as departures are also likely.
One of those who could be on the move is outcasted youngster Reece Oxford, who has fallen down the pecking order in east London after initially making a solid impression in the first-team – and it seems his time at the club is coming to an end.
However, rather surprisingly, one of the latest reports states defending Premier League champions Manchester City are eyeing a move for the 19-year-old and it left many fans on social media rather bemused.
We have gathered some of the best reactions below.
Cannot understand it – @Reeceoxford_ being scouted by City but can’t even make our bench? @ExWHUemployee https://t.co/R8rqymGjYE

Good. Bid 10mill and he is yours city or dortmund. Shame as he was a good prospect but he needs a fresh start and club needs his wages gone.

Top clubs interested but can’t get a look in for us. I’d love to know what’s really been going on with him

he has a very poor attitude but there is still a lot of potential. pep might be perfect in getting the best out of him. Either way he needs a change whether its on loan or permanent
