This evening, West Ham United play their penultimate Premier League fixture of the 2017 / 2018 season when they welcome Manchester United to the London Stadium.
Last time out, courtesy of a fine win away against Leicester City, the Hammers finally saw the threat of falling through the relegation trap-door quashed.
It’s not been the best of seasons and we’re under no illusions that the summer could see a lot of activity at the club with players leaving, players arriving and the managerial situation still to be finalised.
But, before we break up for the close-season, would it be too much to ask for the side to provide a decent, rip-roaring performance, preferably against a Manchester United side we’ve had so many good tussles with over the years?
