The Hammers have always been a club recognised as being reluctant to axe occupants of the managerial seat.

That appears to be the case with regards to Slaven Bilic.

After the manner in which West Ham United slipped to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Brighton, losing 3-0, at the London Stadium, to a side that had scored just 1 away goal in all competitions this season, the fans let their thoughts on the matter be known.

After Brighton`s third goal hit the back of the net, thousands upon thousands vacated their seats and left the Stadium whilst those that remained filled the night air with boos.

However, according to the respected source, the BBC, our clubs owners are determined to give 49-year-old Bilic more time.

Our source suggests it is hugely unlikely that Bilic will be axed before our next two games which are difficult looking fixtures away to Tottenham Hotspur, at Wembley, in the Caraboa Cup and then an away trip to Selhurst Park, to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Speaking after the demolition inflicted by Brighton, Bilic had remarked,

‘I don’t want to hide behind anything. It’s my responsibility and it’s up to the board.

But the board seem reluctant to make the change with our source suggesting that David Sullivan`s philosophy is to “honour” a contract unless things are “desperate”.

Well from where I was sitting on Friday evening things looked pretty damn desperate to me!
