Summer signing Julien Faubert is back on his feet and running again according to West Ham’s head physio, George Cooper:
‘Over the last couple of weeks, Julien has been jogging in a pool and the water has been getting shallower and shallower so he can put more weight on it. That went really well so, as scheduled, he is now running on land which will last six weeks.’
The French international is recuperating from an achilles injury suffered in July, just a fortnight after signing for the club. His national team manager, Raymond Domenech, branded Faubert’s decision to sign for West Ham as “unspeakably stupid”. Domenech has ‘masterminded’ two defeats against Scotland as France stumble towards Euro 2008 qualification.
