West Ham Get Ruud

With a name like Ruud Boffin it was surprising the deal for the Belgian keeper slipped under the radar on transfer deadline day. Although faxing through his and Jacobsen`s details to the Premier League with two minutes to go until the deadline might explain it.

I`m just disappointed that we didn`t get linked to the wonderfully named Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

Ruud has signed a two-year contract after impressing on trial with West Ham. The 22-year old is seen as cover for Green. Personally I would have preferred a more experience goalkeeper to push Green for his place but maybe Boffin can provide some competition.

Our main hope is that Green doesn`t suffer any ill-effects from his minor operation and is back as expected for the Chelsea game.
