West Ham boss saved from crisis as club insider confirms star is fit to face Liverpool

West Ham United club insider ExWHUemployee has confirmed that Manuel Pellegrini will be able to call on the services of Lukasz Fabianski for Monday night’s clash with Liverpool.

Fabianski was able to play the full ninety minutes in the Irons’ last Premier League fixture, the 3-0 drubbing against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but joined Marko Arnautovic and Aaron Cresswell in the physio’s room after the match.

A clash with Wolves wing-back Matt Doherty left the 33-year-old with a sore arm that needed attention, but is claimed by ExWHUemployee to have passed a fitness test on Sunday.

Pellegrini will now be able to call on the Poland international goalkeeper on Monday night rather than recalling Adrian, who has so far only featured in the cup competitions this season, including the humbling 4-2 FA Cup defeat to AFC Wimbledon last month.

Monday’s clash with the Premier League-leading Reds will be Fabianski’s first game since being named Pilka Nozna’s Footballer of the Year, having edged Robert Lewandowski and Krzysztof Piatek to the award and end the Bayern Munich forward’s seven-year reign.

At present, it is not yet known whether Arnautovic will feature at the London Stadium, after being substituted at Molineux following an awkward landing.
