Villa go for Collins

Sky Sports are reporting that Villa have tabled a £5 million bid for Welsh defender James Collins.

Collins nearly moved to Stoke, but could not agree terms with the northerners.

The Welshman has been in the starting line-up during the opening games of the campaign, clearly in the shop window.

Should the centre-back decide to go Zola will hope to invest the money straight away in a striker.
