Transfer rumour suggests West Ham have no policy for summer in place

|

According to the Telegraph, West Ham are apparently among the clubs interested in Welsh international midfielder Joe Allen.

The diminutive player has been at Stoke during their Championship campaign this season but they have not been good enough and they are not coming up.

He, though, is more than capable of producing the goods in the Premier League – but it should not mean we go after him.

He’s a decent player but we’ve got so many like him in the middle of the park.

Jack Wilshere, Mark Noble and Declan Rice all do similar jobs in terms of keeping it neat and playing it nicely but we need a different sort of central player.

We need more dynamism and someone that can break lines, not another player in a similar mould.

Certainly, it suggests we’ve not really got a policy in mind and, hopefully, I will be proven wrong rather than us going for players we’ve already got just for the sake of making signings.
