Transfer News: West Ham linked with loan move for Champions League midfielder

|

West Ham fans are getting more and more desperate every day for some signings to be made this month, and it looks like another rumour has come in linking the Hammers to a midfielder, as the Irons are quite desperate for some reinforcements in the middle of the park.

With that in mind, the Hammers have been linked with the loan signing of one particular midfielder who is currently plying his trade in both the Premier League and Champions League, although game time isn’t coming consistently for the 26-year-old.

As you may have guessed, the player in question is Chelsea’s Ross Barkley, as The Mirror have claimed that the England international is one who David Moyes wants to sign on a loan deal at the London Stadium as he aims to reunite with the midfielder he once worked with at Everton.

The pulling power that will be there for West Ham comes in the fact that the Hammers can offer consistent first-team football to the England man, who will be desperate to keep his place in the national team as the Euros are on the horizon at the end of the season.

However, it seems that as much as the Irons are desperate to bring in Barkley to bolster their midfield, Chelsea and Frank Lampard have no intentions of letting their midfielder go, even if the player isn’t featuring as much as he would like to, as they view him as an important part of their first-team plans.

Will this transfer window be a big one?

Yes

No

Barkley is undoubtedly a top player, and whilst Moyes and the West Ham fans will all want to see the Chelsea man brought into the club, it looks like this will be a tough deal for the club to get through given the fact that Chelsea aren’t keen on selling him.
