Bayern Munich appear to have quashed talk of Luca Toni moving to Upton Park. Along with Eidur Gudjohnson the Italian has been closely linked with a move to Upton Park in the last week. However Bayern Director of Sport Christian Nerlinger has since moved to quash talk of Toni departing, stating there have been no enquiries.

‘There is no bid regarding Luca Toni. And we are not really considering his future.’

Hammers fans are beginning to wonder where oh where is the striker we need going to come from? We need at least one striker to come in, preferably two. If no one comes in we will be left with just Carlton Cole as our only out and out striker. Hopefully Nani and Zola have some deals close to fruition, but time is running out….
