Letting their heart rule their head?
I think that’s pretty much what Sam Allardyce wanted to put across when it came to talking about the current owners at West Ham United. The world knows that us and those in charge don’t get along, indeed we haven’t for many years, and the sale of Grady Diangana only seemed to add more fuel onto the fire.
However, speaking on talkSPORT, former West Ham boss Allardyce did his best to defend the owners, in particular David Gold and David Sullivan by insisting that their heart is in the right place when it comes to running the club, and that they have done their best when it comes to spending both time and money into making the club better:
💷 “The owners have always spent money, just not in terms of the top 6.”
❤️ “As much stick as Gold & Sullivan get, you have to realise they love West Ham football club.”
Sam Allardyce believes #WHUFC’s David Gold & David Sullivan have good intentions for the club.

What is David Sullivan best doing for West Ham?
Leave the club
Invest, Invest, Invest!
I think there is possibly some elements of truth in that, and whilst things haven’t always turned out right, I think the owners do deserve a little bit of credit for some of the signings they’ve made and how they’ve handled things, like Dimitri Payet for instance when we signed him.
However, if he truly loves the club and wants it to succeed, then perhaps it’s time that he allowed the club to be taken over by those who might make fewer mistakes in the future.
What about you? What do you make of these comments from Allardyce?
