Vital Hammers News

The good news keeps on coming for the Hammers

|

Despite securing the services of seven new players, and spending almost £100M, Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that he intends to sign more recruits before the conclusion of the transfer window.

As the Daily Telegraph reports, the former Manchester City manager has stressed the need for a competitive squad and has sighted our current injury problems as justification for potential new recruits.

To his credit, he has successfully identified and acquired targets that have certainly elevated the pedigree and the quality of our team. Additionally, we must applaud the board for their willingness and readiness to back Pellegrini’s vision and ensure that he has sufficient support in the transfer market.

Verdict:

It’s clear for all to see that the club aren’t resting on their laurels, and for once, talk of ambition has been met with purposeful action from the hierarchy. Long may it continue!
