As revealed by respected source on all things West Ham, exWHUemployee on Twitter, Declan Rice is a real target for Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Of course, it remains to be seen when the window opens up for business with the current delay in proceedings but it seems as though there is a real chance that, once the market is up and running in the summer, Chelsea are going to be keen on getting a deal done for the Irons’ midfielder.

Rice has become a key player for the Hammers in recent seasons, with him earning an England debut in the process, and it looks as though he could be set for a summer move if Chelsea have their way:

Of course, we’ll hope that he doesn’t move, particularly to them of all clubs, but if they end up in the Champions League spots for next season and make an offer, it is bound to test Rice’s mentality over how much he wants to stay in east London.
No-one can doubt his commitment to the cause but we’ve seen it before with the club’s top players, once a big move is in the offing, it can usually be a forgone conclusion.
Hopefully, in the coming months, Chelsea will find other targets they’d rather go for in the summer window but, right now, it seems as though Rice is a real option for them and that is bound to have us worrying until the eventual close of the next market.
