After bringing some major new talent to the club this summer, the route to the first team has gotten harder for the younger West Ham United players.
However, the loan option is available to ensure that those with a possible future with the club continue to learn their trade and maintain their natural progression.
It has been confirmed, by the BBC, that the West Ham United midfielder, Marcus Bowne has joined Oxford United on a season-long loan and also confirmed by the official Oxford United Twitter site:

Browne has been restricted to just one appearance for the senior side, against Astra Giurgiu in the Europa Cup back in 2016.
At 20-years-of-age, a spell at Oxford is the ideal opportunity for the player to further develop and the Oxford United boss certainly seems glad to have acquired the services of Marcus:

Going off on loan has also seen numerous Hammers supporters air their views on the loan move:
He’s a real talent Oxford United fans, scored 4 goals in one game against Everton for u23’s and can see a pass. Good luck Marcus

Good move all round. Could very well be his breakout year. U23’s football isn’t enough for him this year. Immensely talented, Oxford have got a great little player on their books. Hopefully stay injury free and show what he can do. Good luck, Marcus.

For Browne, it is the second time he has gone out on loan with the attacking midfielder spending a brief spell at Wigan Athletic in 2017.
Here at Vital West Ham, we’d like to take this opportunity to wish Marcus Browne all the best and, during the coming season, we’ll keep a watchful eye on how he gets on at Oxford United.
