So last night a lot of attention, arguably quite rightly so, was being paid to what was happening off the pitch.
However, it is important to know that there was indeed a game going on, and we just so happened to handily dispatch League One side Hull City 5-1 at the London Stadium, and as is tradition for a League Cup game, there were a number of changes made to the team that played on the weekend against Arsenal.
But just how many of them have done enough to consider themselves in contention to start our next game against Wolves? Speaking on Twitter after the game, noted personality ExWHUemployee was under the impression that a couple of them really stood out:
Another really good performance!! Surely some of these players have played themselves into the team now

Should Sebastien Haller start on Sunday?
Yes
No
Now whilst it should all be taken with a little bit of caution given this was against a League One side, I think there are a couple of players who could use this game as a bit of momentum, especially the likes of Sebastien Haller and Andriy Yarmolenko who both bagged braces against the Tigers.
What about you? Did any of the players last night convince you that they should be playing in the first team against Wolves?
