Vital Hammers News

One Week On From That Day

|

It`s a week since our fine club hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

The toxic scenes we witnessed, at the London Stadium, during the 3-0 home defeat against Burnley, generated far too many column inches of the wrong kind.

It`s probably a good thing that the Hammers have no game today, it gives everybody the chance to cool down.

There`s no doubting that there are problems at our club, the move to the London Stadium hasn`t fulfilled the promises made by the board whilst the club`s transfer policy has proven to be flawed.

Hopefully, the club can all pull together in the same direction and avoid the nightmare scenario that relegation to the Championship would bring.

Today, picking up the tabloid papers as I walked the dog, I stumbled across the column Karren Brady writes for The Sun.

Now usually, I don`t bother to read it, her opinions have never really been my cup of tea.

But today I made an exception as its contents related to the events of last Saturday.

Karren talks about the events of last Saturday as;

“one of the most painful days in the history of the club.”

For those who don`t have access to a copy of the tabloid, Click Here, it`s well worth a read.
