West Ham have significant work to do in the final weeks of the January transfer window as Marko Arnaitovic is widely reported to be on the verge of sealing a £35m-plus move to Chinese side Shanghai SIPG.
The Hammers are looking to immediately reinvest the funds they receive for the Austrian international in the hunt for a replacement and Sky Sports have stated that Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson is in the club’s sights.
26-year-old Wilson has caught the eye this season, scoring nine goals and contributing five assists, earning his international debut with England last year and celebrating his maiden appearance for the Three Lions with a goal.
Due to his experience of English football, his tremendous return this season and his nationality, Wilson would not be a cheap recruit but West Ham fans on social media have made it clear they want the board to splash the cash on his services.
We have gathered some of their comments below.

Agreed.

As a front 4 is scary. So much pace and skill. When Lanzini is back and goes in there it has to be one of the best attacking line ups in the league https://t.co/pnLBhnA2h9— IRONS (@IRONSSSS) January 15, 2019

Would rather Callum Wilson than Arnautovic to be fair #WHUFC

If we really do want Wilson then we have to move now. If we done Chelsea will just come in and take him from under our noses. They did exactly the same thing when we tried to sign Michy. I’m slightly worried with the lack of urgency if this is our main target

I'd love Callum Wilson at West Ham, but Bournemouth won't let him leave in January I imagine.
We need a decent loan player for the rest of the season, then replace Arnie in the Summer #WHUFC #COYI— Green St. Hammers (@GreenStHammers) January 13, 2019
