The Hammers could soon be looking to bring in a back-up keeper to Joe Hart.

Sky Sports are reporting that our Spanish keeper, Adrian, is still on the radar of newly promoted Newcastle United.

The 30-year-old, who shared first-team duties with Darren Randolph last season, with the form of both fluctuating, is seen as being a decent addition for the St James Park side.

Having sold Randolph to Middlesbrough for £5 million, Slaven Bilic knows that if he can`t convince Adrian to stay, even by offering the keeper a new contract superseding the one he is currently on, which included a two-year extension that was activated by West Ham United, there may be a requirement to bring in another green jersey man.

With the new season starting next weekend, with West Ham facing a difficult trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United in their opening fixture, it is not an ideal situation for the club to be in.

Here at Vital West Ham we`ll endeavour to keep an eye on any on-going situation.
