So, who will be?
After finalising the deal that brings Felipe Anderson to the club, the Hammers seventh signing of what has been a very busy summer transfer window, we’re all waiting to see if there will be an eighth signing.
However, if there is to be, then it would appear that it will not be the Newcastle centre-back, Jamaal Lascelles.
Earlier this month, we ran an article, Click Here, that West Ham United would have to be persistent if they were to entice Newcastle United to part company with the 24-year-old.
But, it now seems that however persistent West Ham may be, they’re fighting a losing battle.
Today, lurking in the news source, the Times, is the insinuation that the player has no intention of leaving the club and has pledged his loyalty to the Newcastle cause.
If that is the case and if Manuel Pellegrini is still determined to bring another centre back to the club, it may well be time to look elsewhere, which leaves us asking the question;
Just who will be West Ham’s eighth signing of the 2018 summer transfer window?
