Neill Deal Edges Closer

Reports today suggest that Lucas Neill will again be a West Ham player. The player’s agent is due at Upton Park on Monday to finalise a deal.

The saga has been dragging on all summer, but it appears no one else has come in for the full-back. Galatasaray and Man City were rumoured to be interested, but nothing has materialised from either club.

Should Neill return it will be interesting to say whether he regains the captain’s armband, or whether it stays with Matty Upson.
