It seems an age since West Ham United last announced they’d signed a new player.
After a burst of signings, all of which have been greeted with enthusiasm, we’re still waiting to see if the Hammers will make an eighth signing of the summer transfer window before it slams shut on August 9th.
Today, one news source has been bold enough to suggest that the Hammers are looking to add a midfielder to the club.
The news source under the microscope is the Italian media vehicle, Juvenews.
According to our referenced source, the Hammers are looking at the possibility of signing the Juventus midfielder, Stefano Sturaro.
Sturaro has been an active member of the Juventus side that become the dominant force in Italian football and has made four appearances for the Italian national side.
However, if Juventus are agreeable to a sale, our source does mention that West Ham United would have a Premier League rival for the signature of the player in the shape of Leicester City.
