The international break really is a frustrating time.
It feels, to this amateur hack, as if I`m trapped in a boredom cocoon.
News is scarce, and the weekend holds no interest.
However, I have stumbled across one piece of news that has brought a smile to my face.
When Dmitri Payet decided that the Hammers were no longer the club for him, his departure saw the creative hub of our side stripped away.
But, thankfully, Manuel Lanzini stepped into the void and has developed into, I would say, our star asset.
However, such treasures are ripe for plundering, with Europe`s big-guns looking in from afar.
But, unlike Payet, it seems that 25-year-old Lanzini is more than happy with his lot at the club.
Lurking on the Official West Ham are some quotes attributed to the Argentine forward that read,
“I`ve always said I am very happy at the Club and it`s a Club where I feel very comfortable and I really enjoy working with this group of players. I’ve been here for three years now and I get on well with a lot of people. We have a lot of big personalities here and big players here and I truly get on well with everyone at the Club.
“I always give 100 per cent to the Club. I don`t know what will happen in the future, but today I am very, very happy and I love playing here.”
My faith in humanity has been somewhat restored.
