It Looks Like West Ham Will Not Be Bringing In A Veteran Midfielder

|

With five signings already completed this summer, there has been speculation implying that Yaya Toure could be set to join the club, thereby linking up with his former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

The 35-year-old Ivorian midfielder played nothing more than a bit part, last season, as Pep Guardiola’s managerial acumen guided Manchester City to the Premier League title.

However, it is now being reported, by the Sun, that Yaya Toure may not be joining our club.

It appears that although West Ham have held talks with the player they are reluctant to offer the player a deal.

We can only suspect that it is down to his age and, more importantly, his salary came into play, even more so when you consider the rate at which the Hammers are adding to the squad.

Financial Fair Play Regulations have to be adhered to and perhaps those orchestrating such affairs feel the money might be better spent bringing in someone else.
