“I would be surprised”: EXWHUemployee casts doubt on asking price for West Ham’s latest target

|

Playing it cheap, and hopefully cheerful.

That appeared to be the message that ExWHUemployee wanted to get out when asked about Burnley and their supposed asking price for defender James Tarkowski with the Hammers intent on signing him this window.

Sean Dyche’s men are set to demand that the Hammers pay £50m for his services, which is a price tag that they have been adamant on for some time now, but ExWHUemployee doesn’t think that it will get that far.

West Ham have reportedly upped their current valuation of the 27-year-old to £30m, and it will be interesting to see if Burnley stick to their long-held valuation or if they can be persuaded to bring their valuation down.

Either way I just hope that this is all get sorted out soon, because we can’t afford to go too deep into the season with a potential transfer hanging over our heads, especially if it ends up not coming off and we end up having wasted our time.
