Many West Ham United fans on Twitter have been divided after a revelation from reliable club source ExWHUemployee on Wednesday.
Hernandez has been told he will have a key role at the club this year as Pellegrini doesn’t want a complete overhaul of forwards and also thinks that Hernandez is a top forward with the right service. (Be interesting if a top offer comes in for him what we do though)

Ex claimed that striker Javier Hernandez has been told that he will have a key role to play in east London next season as Manuel Pellegrini rates him highly and doesn’t want to get rid of all of his forwards this summer.
This news comes despite Chicharito confirming that he wants out of London Stadium before Thursday 8 August, though would be happy to stay.
And members of the Claret & Blue Army weren’t quite sure what to make of it, being split on the idea of Hernandez staying for 2019/2020 when many of them would have predicted his sale when Naked Humans was released on YouTube in June.
One compared the 31-year-old with the great Irons poacher Tony Cottee whilst another proclaimed the club are desperate and one more branded the call as a “horrible decision.”
See for yourself…
Best poacher we’ve had since Cottee. Get the ball in the box and he’ll score

So in other words we’re desperate

I’d definitely keep him around. Even if we sell, he’s not gonna bring in much more than 8/10m. I think he has one more year on his contract so worth seeing what he can do. He’s an amazing impact player.

Desperation then

Oh dear, that old familiar sinking transfer window feeling. #WestHam

Horrible decision
