West Ham have huge bid rejected – report

|

West Ham have had a bid of €50 million plus Pedro Obiang for Andrea Belotti turned down by Torino, according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The Hammers are still  on the hunt for a striker, having been unable to get Maxi Gómez from Celta Vigo, with Belotti being their latest ambitious target.

ExWHUEmployee has reported that Fedor Chalov and Youssef En-Nesyri are among the other names on a long list of strikers who the club will approach, though it is Belotti and Sebastien Haller who are initially receiving the most attention.

Despite having already put in a monster bid by their standards, it seems as though West Ham will have to place a much higher offer if Torino are to become interested in selling their talismanic captain.

There doesn’t seem to be any risk of the Italy international attempting to force a move, as he has a close affinity with the club and has turned down big transfer opportunities in the past.

In addition, Torino have secured Europa League football for the 2019/20 season, after AC Milan were banned from the competition, so it would be a peculiar time for the Italy international and his beloved club to part ways.

It is difficult to imagine West Ham moving much higher with their offer, so the Hammers may now need to move onto another target.
