According to media speculation, West Ham United are paying close attention to an attacking midfielder who is currently plying his trade in the Championship.
The player in question is Luke Thomas, a teenager who is on the books of Derby County.
The media vehicle, Gloucestershire Live is of the opinion that the Hammers could be making their move come the opening of the summer transfer window.
Thomas, just 19-years-of-age, has impressed playing for the Derby County U23 side and has also come off the bench, on two occasions, against Queens Park Rangers and Bolton Wanderers this season.
The player who is from the wonderfully named Forest of Dean began his career with Cheltenham Town and moved to Derby County, in January 2016, for an undisclosed fee.
Here at Vital West Ham United we’ll keep an eye out for any further developments and report back as deemed necessary.
