Another disappointing performance from the Hammers saw them slip to a 3-1 defeat on the south-coast this afternoon.

There was definitely no seaside cheer about what we witnessed today as the Hammers dropped won the table and are now just three points off the relegation pack.

Entering the fixture, hopes were high that West Ham could take all three points against a side that hadn`t won a Premier League fixture since December 23rd.

But those hopes were dashed in the eighth minute when Glen Murray opened the scoring for the home side racing clear to beat Adrian with ease.

However, the Hammers did show some resilience and on the half-hour mark were level when Javier Hernandez fired home a fine equaliser.

Emerging all-square for the start of the second half, there was optimism that the Hammers could go on and win this but that suffered a severe knockback in the fifty-ninth minute when Jose Izquierdo scoring a stunning goal, curling a shot into the top right-hand corner of the goal from the angle of the penalty area.

With thirty minutes to go there was still hope that the Hammers could take something from the game but those hopes were washed away in the seventy-fifth minute when Pascal Gross, seized on to a loose pass from James Collins and beat Adrian from twenty-yards out.

Another poor performance, it`s just not good enough West Ham United FC!
