Aaron Cresswell could be on his way to Everton, according to Football Insider, and although some want him to stay, many fans think the time is right to allow him to leave.
The left-back signed for £4million in 2014, and Football Insider believe the club want double that amount. It would leave us with Arthur Masuaku as the only left-back at the club, so the money raised from Cresswell’s transfer would surely go to acquiring his replacement.
It would be sad to see Cresswell go, he has been a consistent performer since being signed by Big Sam, but this season injuries have confined him to just 20 Premier League appearances, and in that time he has got just one assist.
£8million would be a decent price for a player approaching his 30s, and West Ham have certainly seen the best years of the player – that goal away at Leicester in 2016 a particular highlight.
Some fans still want to keep hold of him, though, favouring him over Masuaku who is weaker defensively than Cresswell but far better going forward.
Here are some of the reactions from West Ham fans on Twitter…
Sad to hear it. Like Cress but he's been off the boil for a couple of seasons now.

When he first signed & played in the 4-4-2 diamond, he was on fire. Still want him to stay. Not a great defender but a good crosser and loves to get forward.

Would be a shame to see him as I quite like him as a player. Prefer him over Masuaku personally.
