The future of Reece Oxford has, once again, generated some column inches in the press this morning.
Oxford, who spent last season out on loan with the German side Borussia Monchengladbach, has struggled to impress Manuel Pellegrini since the Chilean took over the West Ham managerial hot-seat.
As a consequence, it is widely expected that the 19-year-old defender-cum-midfielder will be sent out on loan again before the loan window closes at the end of this month.
Two likely suggestions have been suggested by the news source, the Daily Mail.
The first is the possibility of Oxford playing his football in Holland with the Dutch side, AZ Alkmaar whilst the second is a chance to sample life in Spain with Eibar.
It remains to be seen whether either of the two options appeals to Oxford or whether he decides to wait and see if any other options emerge before a final decision has to be made.
Here at Vital West Ham, we’ll keep an eye out for any developments and report back as deemed appropriate
