Mellowing in front of the television but not paying particular attention to anything that was on, I opted to view a few social media pages.

Although I tend not to leave any comments on such like, I do, occasionally come across one posting that grabs my attention.

The comment below, from the outstanding young Hammer, Declan Rice, sums up perfectly what us Hammers supporters expect:

It doesn’t matter, come the end of the day, if we didn’t have the rub of the green and got beat, if you give it your best shot you’ll get the appreciation you deserve.

  • Now stick with that side, formation and system of playing. Dont change it unless due to injuries, then replace ‘like for like’ and we will be fine. Felt so proud of that performance (1st time this season) and the effort put in by the players. We could even win a cup this year !!…….COYI

  • 100% . That’s all we ask for. If every player run their socks off and worked hard and we got beaten, then us fans would say ‘it wasn’t meant to be, at least they tried. We need 11 player and with Declan Rice’s attitude. Top bloke and player
