Plenty of West Ham United fans have been reacting in awe over our 3-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers during the 2006/07 campaign.
Tuesday marked the anniversary of the game that was part of our infamous great escape as we went on to avoid relegation in spectacular fashion, which COYIrons commemorated on Twitter.
Carlos Tevez shone at Upton Park as he scored a stunning free-kick after just nine minutes, sidefooted home for our second shortly after a crossed for current Hammers’ captain Mark Noble as we dominated the Lancashire based outfit.
Is this squad better than today's team?
Yes
No
Bolton managed to pull a goal back through Gary Speed but it wasn’t enough for the away side to salvage anything from the encounter.
We would go on to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford in the next game which meant that our Premier League status was maintained.
With this in mind, supporters were delighted to see highlights of this momentous occasion and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he could “taste the atmosphere”, while another described the game as “brilliant”.
You can taste the atmosphere. Electric when on form.
