“You are different gravy” – These West Ham fans laud “machine” who played 4 key passes in win

|

A few West Ham United fans were lauding Michail Antonio after the Englishman scored and got an assist in our 3-1 win over Southampton last week.

The former Nottingham Forest player was in sensational form against the Saints as he had the joint-most shots on goal and completed the most key passes for our side, as per WhoScored.

He was lauded by BBC pundit Garth Crooks, who included the attacker in his Premier League team of the week. The former Tottenham Hotspur man lavished the winger with praise as he claimed his lack of finesse is made up for by his ‘sheer determination’.

He said: “It might be only his second goal of the season but Antonio’s work rate and general contributions to West Ham’s victory over Southampton was vital. What this lad lacks in finesse, he more than makes up for in sheer determination.”

Overall, Antonio will be hoping his display against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side can kickstart his campaign with the 29-year-old having struck once before Saturday’s fixture. Supporters were full of compliments for the ace, who was in sensational form against the south coast side, as they took Twitter to react:
