We have been one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the transfer market, and our recruitment is seemingly poised to continue. The latest reports indicate that we’re interested in the services of Barcelona’s Rafinha.
According to Mundo Deportivo, we’ve demonstrated the strongest interest in Rafinha, and his situation with Inter Milan remains unclear. Despite amassing 79 appearances for Barcelona, the 25-year-old has always been somewhat of a bit-part player for the Catalan giants.
The Brazilian midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter Milan, where he only attained 17 appearances, scoring two goals. Nonetheless, the arrival of Radja Nainggolan suggests that Inter are no longer interested in the midfielder.
Here’s how West Ham supporters have reacted to the rumours on Twitter.
Incredible player best chance we have is a loan deal and then buy as trying to work out how our budget is going to stretch to cover all these 30m players we are going for pic.twitter.com/qNXtYPKNie

He's a creative CM which can sit so would be a great player to have. Imagine Barça would only loan if it was a obligation to buy otherwise could be like Inter deal. Only problem is he is more forward thinking & we need a more defensive minded player probably

Not another midfielder, we don’t need him

Verdict:
It’s been widely reported that Pellegrini is still in the market for another midfielder, and Rafinha could prove to be the perfect fit. He flaunts several desirable attacking qualities, and he could flourish with regular first-team football.
